The Digital Trends logo

Our logo is the foundation of our visual identity and should be handled with care. Where possible, our logo should be reproduced in full color when used on a black or white background. In other circumstances, such as colored or photographic backgrounds, the white reversed version should be used. In all cases, ensure that there is sufficient contrast with the background for the logo to be legible. There are three versions of the logo: horizontal, vertical, and compact. Any of these can be used depending on the space available.

We respect our logo by giving it room to breathe. The recommended clear space is equivalent to the height of the ‘D’. The minimum recommended size is 150px in digital applications, and 1” in print.

Typography

We use Gotham Sans in print communications and Gotham Narrow for our website. For ease of sharing, we use Helvetica for our ppt. decks.In all cases, please follow these typographic guidelines.

Don’t stretch type horizontally or vertically.
Don’t space text too tightly or loosely.
Avoid the use of all caps for body copy.
Don’t stretch type horizontally or vertically.
Avoid right-aligned type.
Avoid loose line spacing measures, except for lists.
Avoid using more than3 type sizes per page.

Color

We are a positive, colorful company, and will use a number of colors in our communications, but our core palette consists of Digital Trends blue and Digital Trends gray. We have a secondary palette to cover other color needs. When reproducing our logo or text on colored backgrounds, please strive to adhere to the ADA recommended contrast ratio of at least 3:1 for large text and user interface components.

Photography

When choosing photography, aim to provide people interacting with technology. Create a humanizing view of how people use tech in their everyday life.

We have an eclectic illustration style, and while there are no rigid guidelines, try to use illustrations that reflect the tonality of the text.
